For a number of reasons, Fall is a great time to get out on the Farmington River.
The changing leaves make a colorful backdrop.
You notice everyday things in a different light.
You have large stretches of the river to yourself.
There is always new water to explore.
And most important, you find a lot of hungry guys like this who are willing to take a dry fly or a nymph.
Hope you’re finding some new water of your own filled with eager trout. Enjoy!

Especially like that river scene with the bench for contemplation on the wonders of the season. Thanks, and enjoy!

Thanks Walt. It’s funny that you mention that bench. When I walked up there was a man sitting there. We struck up a conversation. He introduced me to hot glue flies and gave me one that he made. I’ll try it out next time.
Hope we can get a trip or two in next year. Sounds like you’ve been doing quite well in your area.
