I always thought that building a bamboo rod would take time, patience and talent – 3 areas where I admittedly fall short.
Joel Anderson has put together a great step-by-step photo essay on how to build a bamboo rod on the Fly Fishing in Maine web site (www.flyfishinginmaine.org). After clicking through it, I am convinced that I will probably never build one, but I have a greater appreciation for those that do. I also understand why they cost so much.
