When I started fishing from my kayak, I carried everything except for my waders. I could barely paddle and my line often got caught and tangled.
I quickly learned how to keep it simple but effective, by scaling down and putting all my gear into one low-profile box. The video below give a brief overview of what’s in the fly box that I use for bass and panfish.

i use a canoe and came to the same conclusion…less is better.
same box, but in an old bicycle seat bag upcycled to thwart bag.
i am maladroit by nature,so my license resides in a dry pouch under my shirt and my tools are tied to me one way or another.
