Reel Adventures of Fly Fishing
The latest Ten & Two is here, just in time for the first snow of 2012.
Stories in this issue include salmon fishing with Charles Gaines on Nova Scotia’s Margaree River, the Normaway Inn in the Cape Breton Highlands, the Glenora Distillery, Louisbourg Lighthouse Trail, and fiddle-maker Otis Tomas.
Enjoy before or after you dig out of the snow.
The latest Catch Magazine is now ready. Filled with amazing photographs, videos, and stories of fly fishing travels, it’s always an interesting read.
One of my favorite articles is on the color green and the various places it is found in fly fishing.
Dry Fly Argentina also contains some amazing scenery, which is only enhanced by the beautiful fish found in its waters.
There’s a nice slide show of small streams presented by Brian O’Keefe and Orvis. It will definitely make you start thinking of spring.
Brian also has a great photo essay on Alaska fishing, complete with beautiful views, large fish, bears, and something I had not seen before – Alaska cotton.
Catch Magazine is also converting to a low-cost subscription-based model, so take advantage of reading one of the final free issues before you subscribe. Enjoy!
The first release of online fly mag SCOF for 2012 is now available.
This issue features stories on fishing in Arkansas for browns, winter on the Davidson, chasing redfish in Charleston, and my favorite, winter fishing in the Florida Keys.
There are also tutorials on fly tying and a gear review, along with a fly shop profile.
Plenty to read until the next issue in April. Enjoy!
